Ealier today, in a statement posted on X, the creator of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, had sent a significant statement that has the cryptocurrency community abuzz.  He has provided a clear warning about the CZ statue memecoin, advising people not to buy a recently introduced memecoin.

He quickly disapproved of this specific token, which was made in conjunction with a statue of him that was previously on exhibit close to the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

He denies accepting it

He stated, “While I want to appreciate the gesture, the fact that there is a memecoin associated with this means the creator probably just wanted to make a quick buck off an interaction from me. “

“This is something I don’t appreciate. Don’t buy the meme. I would also never accept a statue of myself. What kind of egomaniac would have a statue of himself in his house?”

A group headed by a person by the name of Nick Zee started the dispute. This team was in charge of commissioning the statue of CZ and putting it on exhibit in front of the U.S. Capitol for a few hours. They said they intended to either give Zhao the statue or put it up for sale.

Giggle Academy, an educational initiative led by CZ himself, was supposed to be supported by the money raised from a possible auction.

A distinct and frequently erratic subset of the cryptocurrency market is memecoins.  They usually become well-known due to community excitement, social media trends, and internet memes rather than substantial technological innovation or basic usefulness.

While some have seen enormous profits, many others have caused investors to suffer large losses.
