Changpeng Zhao (CZ), co-founder of Binance, has made an $11 million donation consisting of $BNB tokens to Giggle Academy, a global free education initiative for underprivileged children.
The donation was finished in just 20 days, demonstrating Zhao’s commitment to philanthropy and his vision of cryptocurrency as a tool for positive social change.
To expand education access, he reported on X that the donation was made in $BNB to the Academy as payment for the educational services offered.

Details of the Donation
As per the blockchain data, the donation was recorded as 8,722.09 BNB, which is approximately $11.04 million, calculated at the time of the donation based on 1 BNB = $1265.85.
This donation will help the Giggle Academy improve its reach in developing countries. The Academy has articulated itself as a global free educational resources platform for children who do not attend school, as a part of their social outreach.
CZ’s donation was an example of social impact philanthropy recognised in the industry. Users of X pointed to the donation as a positive indicator of the social impact potential of the industry.
