Solana is planning to launch its second smartphone according to some sources. It would be a successor to its Saga smartphone after the product didn’t do that well.

Solana realized it was priced too steep for buyers to switch from existing smartphones. The new upcoming phone would come with the same features and applications. It would better hardware at a cheaper price point which most of the buyers are looking for.
Solana is looking to get crypto smartphones mainstream and a cheaper price point would be really beneficial to capture the market.
Saga users were mostly crypto traders and NFT collectors but since it’s a small market there weren’t many sales.
The smartphone came with an allocation of BONK tokens which were valued at 1000s of dollars. As soon as the BONK tokens were allocated users started buying the Saga device and within a week all its units were sold out.
Saga developers have started building dApps for the smartphone and the company has assured dividends via airdrops to its users. The company sold over 15000 of its Saga smartphones and their new crypto phone with a lower price point could do really well.
