Hamster Kombat, a popular game in the TON ecosystem, has announced a major crackdown on cheating, banning over 2.3 million fraudulent accounts.

The platform recovered a staggering 6.8 billion tokens from these accounts, redistributing half of them to honest players, while the other half will be burned.

The team highlighted cases where some users connected over 400 accounts via a Binance address, and others invited up to 2,000 fake “friends,” all flagged by the game’s anti-cheat system.

Hamster Kombat Bans 2.3 Million Cheating Accounts

Before the Token Generation Event (TGE), Hamster Kombat disclosed in a tweet on X (Twitter) that it had been keeping an eye on questionable activities for several months.

A few accounts displayed strange behaviour, consistently checking in at the same time and carrying out the same tasks. The platform searches for and bans these cheaters to keep the game environment fair.

Those who cheat don’t belong in our community,” declared Hamster Kombat. “We care about our players and market participants, especially long-term holders, and want to protect them.” Many players have applauded the crackdown since it keeps cheats from using automatic selling or other manipulation techniques to obtain an unfair edge.

The game’s anti-cheating measures resulted in the recovery of 6.8 billion tokens. Of these, 50% were redistributed to honest players, while the other half will be burned, reducing the total token supply and potentially boosting its value. This move aligns with Hamster Kombat’s commitment to rewarding genuine players and discouraging dishonest behaviour.

The Hamster Kombat Airdrop Madness

Targeting 131 million users, Hamster Kombat is getting ready to do one of the biggest token airdrops ever as part of its expansion plan. The distribution method has drawn some criticism too. Concerns have been raised by players who feel that the token distribution does not fairly reward their in-game efforts.

Not every token will be available right away. Around 11.25% of the season 1 rewards will have a 10-month vesting time following the first distribution. During the second season, the project intends to airdrop an additional 15% of its entire token supply, for a total of 75% to be distributed over time.

After just 81 days of availability, 239 million users have joined Hamster Kombat. Operating on Telegram, the game has grown to be one of the fastest-growing in the Web3 market. The success of Hamster Kombat, according to Telegram founder Pavel Durov, may have a big impact on Web3 growth and draw millions of new users into the cryptocurrency space.

As a leader in the Web3 gaming industry, Hamster Kombat is staking its claim on huge token distribution and taking tough measures against cheaters. The game has the potential to add millions of new cryptocurrency users in the process of becoming a sensation due to its fast growth and dedication to fair play.
