Ripple Commits $25M to Boost Education Equity
Despite the obvious connections between lifetime economic opportunity and grade-level literacy, many classrooms still struggle to get enough resources to help every student reach their full academic potential.
A Gallup poll conducted in 2024 found that 55% of American parents and adults are unhappy with the quality of K–12 education in the country, which is indicative of larger worries about budget shortages and restrictions.
By providing teachers, staff, and students with the tools they need to regain their confidence and produce positive outcomes in the classroom, Ripple’s pledge seeks to close this gap.
“Ripple has always championed financial and educational access for all, and we’re partnering with some of the most impactful organizations – DonorsChoose and Teach For America – to benefit thousands of classrooms across the U.S.,” said Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple.
He adds, “Together, we hope to inspire others to do the same, starting with Teacher Appreciation Week, and leading into the rest of the year to support students and teachers with the resources they need to build a stronger future for themselves and their communities.”
