Gate Technology FZE, or Gate Dubai, has won a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). This marks the latest step in Gate Group’s global compliance drive.

The permit allows Gate Dubai to offer crypto trading services to institutional, qualified, and retail investors in Dubai and beyond. Gate Group announced the news in April 2025, aiming to expand its presence in the Middle East under strict regulatory oversight.

Compliance First in Dubai

Dr. Han, founder and CEO of Gate Group, said the company has always put compliance at the core of its growth plan. He praised Dubai’s forward-looking stance on digital assets and called the VARA license “a key step” toward serving new markets.

He added that Gate Group remains committed to security, transparency, and user protection as it grows with the local digital economy.

Building a Local Team

While celebrating the license award, Gate Dubai is also busy forming a dedicated Dubai office. The team will fine-tune the platform before its launch, ensuring it meets both global best practices and local rules.

The exchange will let users swap fiat and crypto assets in every direction, that is, crypto-to-crypto, fiat-to-crypto, and the reverse, with users trading directly against each other.

Global Compliance Network

Gate Group already holds licenses or regulatory approvals in many regions. Its entities in Lithuania, Argentina, Malta, Italy, the Bahamas, Gibraltar, and Hong Kong have met local requirements.

In 2024, the group added Japan’s Coin Master exchange to its network, strengthening its standing in Asia. Today, Gate Group points to its broad regional coverage in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and now the Middle East as proof of its compliance leadership.

New Partnership on the Fast Track

In a separate move, Gate.io revealed a multi-year deal with Oracle Red Bull Racing, making Gate.io the team’s exclusive crypto-exchange partner. This collaboration connects blockchain innovation with high-speed motorsports.

Fans can expect joint marketing efforts and special activations that bridge Gate.io’s technology with the thrill of Formula One.

With VARA approval in hand and key partnerships underway, Gate Group is set to deepen its role in Dubai’s blockchain sector. The firm’s next steps will focus on platform launch, local outreach, and further integration with the city’s tech ecosystem.

By aligning with Dubai’s vision for digital finance, Gate Group aims to fuel both local growth and its global journey.
