Kaitlyn Siragusa, a renowned streamer known as Amouranth, was the subject of a brutal home invasion in Houston on March 2. The intruders were aggressive and armed, and they demanded access to her cryptocurrency accounts.
OnlyFans Star Amouranth Survives Violent Home Invasion
Amouranth went on X (Twitter) that night to disclose the shocking details. “I’m being robbed at gunpoint. I think I shot one of them. They were screaming for crypto,” she said. It is alleged that the attackers pulled her from her bed and compelled her to log into her accounts.
She decided to tweet about the attack rather than contacting services. She explained how she would have been more at risk if she had done otherwise. “They gave me my phone and said log in with a gun to my head. Did I want to die? Calling would be a death sentence,” she said.
Intruders With Guns Came Through Restroom Window
Amouranth claims that three men with guns invaded her property by opening fire at a patio window and then breaking the door to her bedroom. Then, she was pistol-whipped and ordered to transfer her cryptocurrency, but they didn’t have any access to her funds.
As posted in the video, the woman was seen transferring the trespassers to another section of the home using the house’s security camera. She was then shot at three times by the men who had broken into her home as they were attempting to escape.
The husband managed to shoot at the intruders while he was situated in a different room. Amouranth thinks that at least one of the men was injured while running away from the house.
The woman sustained injuries during the incident which has been classified by medical staff as not being life-threatening. An investigation is currently active on the case, however, there has been no progress made on the case as no suspects have been arrested yet.
Rise of Attack and Crime ‘Crypto Wealth’
Amouranth is often transparent with her finances and her income streams. During a statement she provided in November of 2024, she claimed to own over 211 Bitcoin, which valued at 20 million dollars, alongside Ethereum, which was around 80 thousand dollars. This made her net worth over 20 million dollars.
Her claiming to have that many assets does make her more prone to be targeted and attacked.

Digital assets are now the main property being stolen through lethal force, and so many criminals have begun to use the term “crypto wrench attacks,” which is when someone is harmed or threatened to compel the victim to give up their belongings.
Latest Trends of Crimes On Crypto
Amouranth is not the only person to face these issues. Just recently, six men were charged with kidnapping three family members and their nanny for a crypto ransom along with a crypto ransom scheme.
Ledger’s co-founder, David Balland, was allegedly taken from his residence. His abductors even asked for ransom in the form of cryptocurrency.
These incidents are a worrying sign for the entire industry. While criminals steal large amounts of money, the experts suggest that cautious measures must be taken by high-profile individuals and investors.
The Importance of Better Security Controls
The recent surge in attacks related to cryptocurrency is not an isolated case. Criminals seeking profit know that once they get the digital assets, they cannot be traced back. Therefore, law enforcement agencies are conceptualizing solutions to mitigate such crimes.
As crypto becomes more popular, security experts encourage all holders to keep their wealth discreet, and the change is meant to be beneficial in the long term. Multi-factor authentication, cold wallets, and secure places can all ward off digital fraud. Better safety for digital assets is now more important than ever.
