HashKey Europe, a subsidiary of the Hong Kong-based HashKey Group, has obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from the Central Bank of Ireland, marking a pivotal milestone in its global expansion strategy.
This development, announced on January 7, 2025, positions HashKey as a leading digital asset financial services provider in the European market while reinforcing its commitment to regulatory compliance.
Strengthening Global Presence
The VASP registration under the EU’s Fifth Anti-Money Laundering Directive (AMLD5) allows HashKey Europe Limited to deliver a range of regulated services.
These include exchanging virtual assets for fiat currencies, transferring virtual assets between accounts, and offering custodian wallet services. This approval also aligns with HashKey Group’s broader mission of building a compliant and secure Web3 ecosystem globally.
HashKey Group’s expansion into Ireland is a key step in strengthening its international footprint. With existing licenses in regions like Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Bermuda, HashKey has established itself as a trusted name in the virtual asset industry.
