A key voice from the Shiba Inu team, Lucie, has shared a heartfelt message with the SHIB community. In a post on X(Twitter), she addressed the growing threat of scams tied to the Shiba Inu name.

Her message was both a warning and a call for unity. Lucie made it clear that while she can’t personally stop bad actors from misusing the SHIB brand, she wants the community to stay informed and alert.

Lucie Warns Community About Rising Scams

She emphasised that SHIB belongs to no single person or group, it’s a people’s token. Just like Bitcoin, SHIB is meant to be decentralised and anyone can use it, but no one owns it.

Lucie’s words encouraged the real holders and believers to protect the integrity of the ecosystem and help others avoid scams by staying educated and spreading awareness.

Lucie admitted that scams can’t always be prevented. However, she stressed the importance of building safe spaces within the community, spaces where people learn, share, and look out for one another.

Her tone was sincere and direct, appealing to the loyal SHIB community to stay strong and united.

New NFT Bridge for Ethereum Transfers

Alongside her message, the Shiba Inu ecosystem earlier announced a new feature that’s aimed at improving the user experience. A bridge for Ethereum-based NFTs has been launched, allowing smooth transfers to Shibarium, SHIB’s own layer-2 blockchain.

This move shows the project’s ongoing commitment to evolving its technology while staying grounded in its original values.

This NFT bridge is expected to simplify cross-chain transfers, making it easier for users to interact with NFTs within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. It adds another layer of functionality to Shibarium, which has been growing steadily since its launch.

Looking Ahead to Layer 3

Lucie also gave a glimpse of what’s next. She mentioned that Layer 3 is on the way, signalling that the Shiba Inu project is not stopping at L2 solutions. While details on L3 were not fully disclosed, the idea behind it ties back to one of the project’s core goals, achieving financial freedom.

Lucie highlighted that real financial independence comes when people are no longer reliant on centralised systems. This vision of decentralisation is part of what has made SHIB stand out, and the team seems focused on continuing in that direction.

The recent updates from Lucie and the Shiba Inu team show two sides of the same mission, protection and progress. While they are focused on building tools and tech like the NFT bridge and future Layer 3, they’re also reminding the community to stay vigilant.

As scams grow more sophisticated, the SHIB community is being called to step up, that is not just as investors, but as protectors of a shared vision. In the end, it’s the people behind SHIB that give it power, and together they shape what comes next.
