Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the co-founder of Binance, is once again making waves in the crypto industry through his family office, YZi Labs.
In a strategic move announced Wednesday, YZi Labs revealed plans to support a newly established treasury firm focused on the accumulation and management of BNB (Binance Coin) assets.
The firm, yet to be formally named and currently referred to as the “BNB Treasury Company,” aims to go public on a major U.S. stock exchange.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to offer both institutional and retail investors in the United States more structured access to BNB, which has historically had limited exposure in traditional markets.
10X Capital to Lead Operations with Industry Veteran at the Helm
The operational side of the BNB Treasury Company will be managed by 10X Capital, a New York-based investment firm known for its involvement in blockchain and digital asset investments.
David Namdar, a seasoned crypto executive and co-founder of Galaxy Digital, has been appointed as CEO of the new venture.
Namdar also serves as a senior partner at 10X Capital and brings significant experience in managing trading strategies and digital asset portfolios.
With 10X Capital acting as the asset manager, the firm will oversee BNB accumulation, positioning the company to serve as a key on-ramp.
Mostly for U.S. investors seeking exposure to Binance’s ecosystem without direct interaction with volatile crypto markets.

Institutional Access to BNB Set to Expand with Regulatory-Focused Approach
The move aligns with a broader industry trend where firms are creating treasury-style vehicles that hold specific cryptocurrencies, giving Wall Street exposure to digital assets through more regulated means.
BNB, originally launched by Binance in 2017, plays a central role in the Binance ecosystem, including discounted trading fees and powering decentralized applications on BNB Chain.
Ella Zhang, head of YZi Labs, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “BNB Chain is one of the most widely adopted blockchain ecosystems. The aim is to expand institutional access that can deliver meaningful benefits to the broader public.”
By offering a regulated and professionally managed vehicle for BNB investment, the firm aims to close the accessibility gap that currently exists for U.S.-based investors.

YZi Labs’ Broader Investment Strategy Spanning Web3 and Crypto Infrastructure
Beyond the BNB initiative, YZi Labs has been actively investing across the digital asset landscape.
The firm recently joined a $135 million Series E funding round for Digital Asset, a company that powers the Canton Network, an enterprise-grade blockchain network that facilitates trillions of dollars in real-world value.
In addition, YZi Labs has backed OneKey, a secure, open-source hardware wallet provider, as part of its strategy to advance global self-custody solutions.
These investments signal CZ’s broader vision of supporting foundational infrastructure in crypto and Web3, aiming to ensure security, scalability, and adoption in the next era of digital finance.
Accelerator Program Highlights CZ’s Push into Emerging Tech Sectors
Furthering its commitment to innovation, YZi Labs has also launched a 10-week accelerator program to support startups working at the intersection of Web3, artificial intelligence (AI), and healthcare.
With a funding commitment of $500,000, the program is designed to nurture early-stage companies that have the potential to reshape digital and health technologies.
The diversified strategy shows that YZi Labs, under CZ’s direction, is not just focused on cryptocurrency investment, but also on driving cross-sector innovation that will shape the future of technology.
As the BNB Treasury Company prepares to close its initial financing round, it marks another milestone in CZ’s post-Binance playbook, reinforcing his long-term influence in the blockchain ecosystem.
