Adidas has teamed up again with STEPN GO, the sequel to the move-to-earn game Stepn, to launch an exclusive release of 1,200 pairs of limited-edition Ultraboost 5 sneakers.

The co-branded STEPN GO shoes are designed to merge the digital and real worlds by providing users with the best of both worlds. 

It has world-class performance running shoes from Adidas and the unique gamified experience provided by STEPN GO. It is sure to attract attention in sneaker and NFT sectors alike, as the limited release hits open.

The New Adidas X Stepn GO Collaboration

This partnership between Adidas and STEPN GO is not new. It all started in April 2024, when the two brands launched the STEPN Genesis NFT collection.

Thanks to this successful NFT drop, a pair of STEPN GO x Adidas Ultraboost 5 sneakers featuring the STEPN GO logo will also be released, marking an auspicious start to the still-growing partnership.

Kicking off the partnership, a collection including the STEPN GO x Adidas Ultraboost 5 kicks will be exclusively available for purchase on the MOOAR marketplace, launching on the 13th of December, 2024. 

The drop isn’t open to the general public. The limited-edition footwear will be unique to STEPN and STEPN GO-x Adidas Genesis NFT holders, further highlighting the innovative concept of the project of solvent digital collectables with real-world products. 

Even better, a raffle system will be implemented to dish out the sneakers and participants will have the chance to enter between December 13th through December 17th.

Limited Edition with a Raffle Angle

The release of the Ultraboost 5 sneakers is a rare event in the sneaker world, especially considering that only 1,200 pairs will be available. This exclusivity enhances the shoes’ appeal, making them a highly coveted item for both sneakerheads and NFT collectors. 

As part of the unique approach, winners will be announced via a raffle system, ensuring that everyone, not just NFT holders, has a chance to win a pair of limited-edition sneakers.

The STEPN and STEPN GO x Adidas Genesis NFT holders will have priority in the raffle from December 13 to December 17, while the general public can also enter.

Calling for the winners will take place from January 6 to January 22, 2025, with a three-week trading period for reselling these members-only kicks. This is an additional element of interaction, where the sneakers might move with the secondary markets, thus increasing their rarity and price.

Bridging the Gap Between Digital and Physical Fashion

This collaboration points to a larger trend in both fashion and gaming, with boundaries between intangible and tangible goods rapidly becoming obsolete. Adidas and STEPN GO are completely revolutionising this model by providing a physical product dubbed the “Adidas x STEPN GO” as an in-game NFT which brings real-life value to the virtual component, and vice-versa.
